What's cooking - it's the start of a new month

It's the start of a new month and, therefore, the start of new events in the month.

I really enjoy what I do and wish that I had started doing this much earlier. I get great satisfaction out of organising events and immense pride when I see people enjoying themselves. I love it when people approach me with ideas and suggestions particularly: "I have enjoyed this evening, but!". Often the "but" increases my awareness of what people like and don't like. In other words I am always open to suggestions.

In February

At Enmore Park Golf Club TA5 2AN we have Absolutely Elton on Saturday, 17 February . This is a top class, international, performer who we have previously used several times before at other clubs. Totally professional, trained singer and pianist it is difficult to see how this act would fail. This is a true tribute to the genius that is Sir Elton John.

At Erlestoke Golf Club SN10 5UB we have Jodie Evans. Jodie is a lovely girl with an immensely powerful voice and normally does an excellent Adele tribute - The One and Only Adele. However, Jodie is very versatile and can sing, and boy can she sing, some Tina Turner and Soul and Motown numbers. On this occasion she will be singing 30 minutes of her The One and Only Adele show and then an hour of Tina, Soul and Motown.

Non-members of both golf clubs are very welcome to attend. All you need to do is to buy tickets from the web site www.entertainerconnection.com. At both locations you can purchase optional food from around 6:30pm

Later in the year

There is something very different going on this year with a wide variety interesting events such as:

  • Enmore's Got Talent - 6 July - Anybody can enter, including non-members

  • Enmore are also doing an open mic night - 21 September. Again anybody can enter

  • Murder Mystery Nights at both Enmore and Erlestoke - these give a great chance for optional fancy dress, Halloween style 19 October and 26 October respectively.

  • Comedy Dining at both Enmore (7 December, Fawlty Towers Christmas Party) and Erlestoke (14 December, Comedy Dining: Allo, Allo) - these comedy dining nights are very popular and great fun. My wife and I went to one at Erlestoke last Christmas and laughed all through the performance.

My top recommendation is to sign up for these events as soon as they are released as they are likely to be very popular and sell out very quickly.

You can also "Look & Listen" and buy tickets from the web site where we are able to access videos,
